MENOMONEE FALLS — Honoring his service and sacrifices, a warfare hero was gifted a mortgage-free residence in Menomonee Falls on Saturday, July 11.
The Cappo household was welcomed residence by many. Daniel Cappo, a U.S. Military sergeant, was thanked for his service with a custom-built residence in Menomonee Falls — a house of the courageous.
“It is every part we ever wished and extra,” Cappo stated.
It is a part of Operation Lastly Dwelling — a non-profit group that gives mortgage-free houses to wounded service members and their households.
“Though it is a mortgage-free residence, he has definitely paid a worth for it,” stated Molly Halliday with Operation Lastly Dwelling. “I simply love seeing the weights lifted off the veterans and their household’s shoulders.”
Development on the house began in November 2019. Saturday, Cappo and his household opened the door to their new life — roaming freely by the halls.
